Short version: your answers and your result stay in your browser and are never sent to us. We use cookie-free analytics. If you ask to be notified about new tests, we keep your email and the test you picked, only to send you one email when tests launch.
Who runs this site
Tikobu runs this site. You can reach us at hello@tikobu.com.
Your answers and result
Your answers, your progress and your result are saved in your browser's local storage on your device, so you can continue later and see your result again. They are not sent to our servers or to anyone else. Your saved card images are made on your device too.
If you open a friend's test link, we save their Tikobu on this device so we can show the two of you side by side after your test.
If your browser doesn't allow saving, or if you use "Copy my result link", your result is put in the page address after the "#" sign. That part of the address isn't sent to our server, and we remove it from the address bar as soon as the page reads it. It can still stay in your browser history, and in any link you copy and share.
To delete everything, press "Delete my result" on your result page. It removes your answers, your result and your friend's Tikobu from this browser. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't build a profile of you and doesn't track you across other websites. Cloudflare also hosts this site and processes basic technical data, like IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
"Notify me" sign-up
Paid tests aren't available yet, and nothing is sold on this site. If you press "Notify me", you go to a waitlist form run by Tally (tally.so).
- What we collect: your email address and the test you picked (the "test" field, like "love" or "all").
- Why: to send you one email when the tests launch. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it or share it for advertising.
- Where it's stored: in Tally, on servers in the EU. Tally's own privacy policy applies to the form.
- How long: until the tests launch and for 6 months after that, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
- How to delete it: email us at hello@tikobu.com and we'll delete it.
The "Notify me" sign-up is for people 18 and older.
Children
Tikobu is for ages 13 and up. Paid tests, when they launch, are for ages 18 and up. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 sent us their email, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy and to have it deleted. We don't sell or share personal information. To make a request, email us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
